First five interviewees who signed up for the interview were all from the same university and all are currently doing their bachelor’s in Computer Science and all share an avid passion for computers and for the virtual world. According, to them the BBS was a godsend as it allowed them to break free and out of their shells which they had constructed and now all are active debaters in their respective university.
These students all have been active members of the Wemer community and all were students who were keen to reach out to out to other people and to be a part of the international community which had given them so much in terms of friendship, knowledge and the ability to interact freely without any inhibitions. These students were just like all other students who were just as caught in the dynamics of life and the pressures of their respective programmes. However, what truly made them different was their sensitivity to social issues and their keen interest in them. They felt that instead of merely using communication to complain, one should make use of it to actively correspond and learn from each other.
