The Nike’s logo, swoosh was registered in 1972 January with the first shoes bearing the logo being introduced in the same year in June. The present Nike Swoosh logo was altered from the original logo in 1981 and has continued to be used to date.
The Nike slogan, logo and the Jordan endorsement have played a critical role in ensuring that Nike brand becomes a success. Though these marketing features originated from very humble background, they have been instrumental to the success of the brand. Despite the global challenges catalyzed by globalization, Nike has remained to control a bigger percentage of the global market due to the complex nature of the marketing strategies. Through the marketing campaigns, the firm remains a force to reckon with in the next decades. Besides the logo, slogan and the Jordan endorsement, the firm has used many advertisement models that include using songs, endorsing celebrities among many other advertising strategies.
