Essay: Crying babies-Separation
Physical and emotional attachment of babies to their mother comes between the ages of 7 to 18 months. This condition makes the baby feel separated whenever its mother is not there therefore resulting into uncontrollable crying.
This condition is called separation anxiety. At this period, the baby becomes so much distressed and very shy. He or she may develop a lot of fear even for familiar adults and avoid any contact with a stranger. Many parents have failed in their attempts to leave their babies in the care of another person without them crying. Such attempts have only made the condition worse as the babies end up to cling onto their mothers more than before in fear of being ‘abandoned’ again.
