Essay: Child development-Adaptive Oral or language communication
Learning of is learned from an interaction with the societal environment through a cognitive process. Adaptive skills are those needed for one to able to cater for themselves and abilities to talk is one of these skills. Communication problems may hinder a child from getting what they are told, that is receptive language or what they should say, which is termed expressive language.
These skills should be developed in a child by involving the child in numerous communication tests such as encouraging them to say something and later on expose the correct meaning (Robert, 1986, p. 59). Such activity if done repeatedly enhances the ability to communicate n children with communication problems. These children should also be exposed to a environment where talking is common as they are like to hear and practice talking.
