On the other hand, as the carbohydrates and fats are in excess, the vitamins and minerals are quite under-represented. This is evident with the fact that almost no vegetables are consumed and the fruits I took were quite limited. The fruits ought to have been more varied and distributed.
For instance, more types of fruits should have been added to my diet e.g. citrus fruits such as oranges, pineapples and guavas, and others such as grapes, pears, strawberries and the watermelon. Vegetables should also have been consumed generously, and should have even replaced some of the high-calorie foods eaten on that day to provide fibre for satiety. These include cabbages, cauliflowers, tomatoes, and spinach. The good thing is that they can be combined with one another to improve the flavour and to also increase the variety.
