Essay: What is Bullying
Bulling cannot be defined by simply looking at the most vulnerable groups who are mainly young people and in particular students. It entails any form of abuse that seeks to subject an individual or a group to irrelevant power or illegal authority (Walter, 2006, p. 4).
This act limits victims’ freedom because of power imbalance that could be either physical or social and at the same time make the bully feel “superior”. The most common reason why bullies do their business is to seek attention or popularity supposedly from their toughness on others. This paper seeks to evaluate numerous phenomena associated with bullying right from the bullies to the victims. An in-depth discussion of the general feeling and perception about the problems will also be highlighted.
