Essay: Blood Disease-Introduction
Blood is the key transport agent in the body. This means that it has to be almost perfect in doing this given that it is very important for normal metabolism. However, this vital fluid is faced by numerous challenges that compromise its functions. This comprises of a wide range of diseases some of which are controllable and others not.
In this research, we are going to examine several diseases that are commonly associated with blood. We are going to look at some Quantitative data from different parts of the world. Some show varied prevalence trends provided by statistical epidemiology sources from different research studies.
This is usually a decrease in number of red blood cells or less hemoglobin in the blood. It can also include a drop in oxygen binding ability of hemoglobin. It come with different ways which lead to different types of anemia such as, microcytic, macrocytic, normocytia anemia and many more. We shall examine two of the most common types of anemia namely pernicious anemia and sickle cell anemia. (Mark, J, et al. p 1085-1090)
