This is a blood disease caused by failure of the blood to clot or coagulate. This is mainly because of absence of blood clotting substances leading to excessive bleeding even from a very small or minor injury. The disease in inherited, sex-linked and mostly expressed in males and transmitted by females only.1 out of every 10,000 men the US suffer this disease with about 80% of these cases having a feasible family history of the disease.
