Essay: Allegations on Egypt
According to critics of these efforts, allegations have been made against Egypt depicting views that the country is not sincere with its actions. The recently ousted president of Egypt Hosni Mubarak is blamed for not stepping into Israel soil not even once for diplomatic reasons although it is said that he once attended a funeral of assassinated Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
Critics further argue that such actions could not only fuel the conflicts but also persuade other Arab countries to hate Israel even more as it is an act of obstructive diplomacy. The recent Gaza blockade by Israel saw Egypt oppose the move in concurrence to peace agreements done before between Israel and Palestine. This position was occupied by majority world powers such as the US and the UK. This move further poses Egypt as a noble country in that region which happens to be very influential.
