Environment has a direct and explicit impact on the progress and development of an organization. Because the entire influence in an organization is the result of environmental fluctuations. The organizations in all part of the word pay a deep attention to the environmental forces. Similarly Wal-Mart is also keen about knowing the environmental fluctuations and the consequences theses fluctuations might bring about. The role of managers and the management is the gravity of the organizational environment.
There are two dimensions of studying the environment of an organization. The first one is the internal environment and the second one is the external environment of an organization. The forces of the external environment are beyond the control of the management, and all that the management can do in response to changes in external environment is the strategy management in a way that the organizations sets in a least affected position to the environmental fluctuation.
